Larisa {high school senior photography}

Larisa was a referral from my client and friend, Michelle.  I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such beautiful young ladies.  Larisa will graduate from Austin High this year!  Go Seniors 2013!!

Digital Divas {GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY}

It has been forever ago since I blogged and I am going to try to catch up within the next week or so.  I’ve attended so many classes these last couple of months including Precision Camera University,  Digital Divas, Texas School, a glamour/fashion training with our great little network of photog friends….with our fabulous leader Allette Wellauer of Glimpses Captured, and have had several high school senior sessions since my last post.  I’ve been so busy with my clients that I have yet to start working with my class edits.  I also went to the Precision Camera Expo this past weekend and attended 4 classes that day.  So excited about all that I’m learning and the fabulous new light set that I just purchased but now it is time to get caught up.

First up today are a few  images from our last Digital Divas class with Mandy Earnshaw of Precision Camera.  Digital Divas is a group of women photographers that get together every month or so and work on getting better at what we love to do…..creating beautiful images.  This time around, our focus was working with male models.  Lighting, posing, directing men is very different from working with women.  We were very lucky to get some really cute male models that were very patient and willing to work  with us.  We all met at Ghost Town in Manor, TX. and for the most part, we used ambient light for our session.  If you have never been to Ghost Town, you should make a trip to this great little old time western town complete with a saloon and all.  Enjoy :)!!!

Until next time,

xoxo Anna

Precision Camera University 2013 {GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY}

For the 2nd time, I attended PCU this year.  So much to learn and so little time….well, let’s just say that I could have continued on for days.  This year was a little different for me.  First of all, I did not feel like an outsider.  I knew people and knew the language of my camera.  Don’t get me wrong, everyone was great last year but there is something about knowing people and being able to have a conversation around what you are learning that makes it so much more fun.  Knowing my camera and being able to understand what the instructors were telling us to do really made this experience a great one.  I watched a few people that are new to this and I felt their anxiety…..I was there last year.  I helped when I could and had rich conversations with many attendees.   These are the photographers I learned from at PCU.  Check out their websites to see their awesome work.
